There's actually a drink called The Godfather - it's 2 parts Scotch, 1 part amaretto, IIRC, served on the rocks.
Booze that's as close to bathtub gin and bootleg whiskey would be pretty appropriate for a Prohibition-theme. For somewhat later, straight Scotch and gin, as well as wine, would be pretty appropriate. So would some vintage style cocktails - Martinis, Gilmets, Sidecars come to mind.
A bourbon and bourbon on the rock. (singular)
Having had too many up close and personal experiences with the real thing, not a party theme for me. Nope, I'll pass,
I think you need cigars as much as booze, if not more.
You say Godfather but I bet it quickly gets turned into the more current mobster roles as defined by Good Fellas, Casino, Sapranos.

I had thought of martinis and I have some wine. I thought the Godfather used bourbon and not scotch. Oh well.
