I don't know how many of you are into models but I am really into it, I love building them, mainly sports car subject, but occasional rod or two. Yesterday I went to the biggest in the nation and I think in the world, best of the best. I bought a new camera and it worked perfectly on it's first real outing.
I only brought one, which sucked but Scale Auto did want to take a picture of it!

Worked in a Hobby shop for a number of years. What some people do with plastic is amazing!
I couldn't find a direct album link, but I think these are the images that he's referring to:

I've been thinking about getting into it again. Weird thing is, I've still been collecting kits even though I haven't built in ten years or so. I'd like to do a series of SCCA club racers. I've got a Tamiya 1/12th 240Z Rally that I'd like to kitbash into either an early 90s ITS car, or Jim Fitzgerald's old CP car. I've also got Monogram's repop of the old 1/24 Aurora Porsche 904 that I was going to do as the Follmer/Gregg Sebring `66 car-until I saw this article over at Hemmings:
http://www.hemmings.com/hsx/stories/2009/02/01/hmn_feature11.html
That 904 about half-way down is Dick Barbour's 1970 A-Prod car.
Most of the 1/24 stuff I collected, I wanted to build models of club racers. Mazda FB, BMW E21, VW A2, etc. Maybe I should make a diorama of Road Atlanta's turn 11 circa `92 or so? It would be big, but it would be pretty impressive..

I'm working on a '66 GT350H and i have a half finished hemi cuda that my dad has ignored for 8 years.
I thought this was fantastic. The level of realism is eerie!

I was stuck at work, but most of the other members of my club headed down.
