The horse is first course, of course, of course...
but nobody can eat a full horse, of course
We have two horses and a donkey. I threaten to eat the donkey all the time when she wont shut up with her braying. Apparently she didnt learn anything from the rooster.
It's quite good actually. I've eaten it quite a few times. No complaints.

My fiance is a horse vet and she doesn't understand why we don't eat horses here in the states. I'd eat a horse.

I've heard that if you can eat the whole thing, you get a free T-shirt.
I like my horse run through a warm room. You know, still neighhng.
Yeah, I don't quite understand all the fuss. Horsemeat is supposed to be lean and tasty. And besides, meat's meat and a man's gotta eat.

Margie
Horsies just LOOK delicious.
OMG, there's meat in my meat?!?!?!? The horror!!!!!

it's that whole "pet" thing. It's the same reason we do not eat dog.. but can easily eat pigs and cows. Personally, Pigs are pretty nasty critters, there is a reason pork was banned by the bible and koran

We don't eat dog because you shouldn't eat meat that eats meat--or at least that is what I've heard from both a Doctor and a Veterinarian, and it kinda made sense to me. No comment on fish. That, and dog doesn't taste all that good according to a Chinese professor I had.
And yeah, I try not to think about pigs too much when I'm eating my bacon.
Last winter I ate Bobcat prepared in the Mongollian style. It was delicious.

This ^^
I've owned several horses, the thought of eating one is not appealing. The other reason for myself is because I know how intelligent that they are.

Have worked with pigs and cleaning out pig barns and the like, I eat pork with a sense of revenge.

Maybe you gentlemen didn't notice the double negative, or I'm a terrible writer. My fiance, the horse vet, is for eating horses.

No, we understood it. We're explaining the reasons behind why we don't here in the states.

Whatever, put it on my plate, tell me what it is after I taste it. I've tried damn near anything else....

If we're going by intelligence level, we should not be eating horses, pigs, or cows, but definitely should be eating most humans...

I think Margie covered that with her Farmer Vincent reference. Subtle, as always!
