I'm pretty sure Paul drinks 10 of those a week. Are we sure he isn't a zombie?
I've seen him drink one of these mugs -
In a given week I will drink 4-6 monsters, 4-24 cups of coffee, and up to a case of mountain dew throwback. I'm not dead yet. I do however weigh nearly 200 lbs and have some idea of what drugs I'm taking. Seems to me most people who die from caffeine use weigh about 120lbs soaking wet or are severely overweight with heart issues.
I was doing really well with not consuming caffeine, until school started and I started drinking one or two sodas twice a week at work. Currently I am drinking a double strenght Rockstar actually, but I don't plan on sleeping tonight, but thats because I need to buy a couple bro-hats and go drifting (write an engineering lab report).
I tear up the Java Monster's, but they're kinda tame really. I only get them when I'm falling asleep at the wheel, stuff like that.
Definitely bad stuff.
The lawsuit charges that Monster failed to warn about the risks of its energy drinks;
Bull berkeleying E36 M3.
It says right on the berkeleying cans that it's not for children, preggers and people with gimpy hearts. It also says limit 3 of the small cans a day. I notice the article(and more than likely the mother) don't mention how many big cans the little E36 M3 drank in those two days:
14-year-old Maryland girl who died in December from a heart arrhythmia after drinking large cans of Monster Energy on two consecutive days.
You mean those huge berkeleying 24 oz cans that I can only drink two of a day before I get jittery or the gargantuan ones that look like a damn tank shell casing?
My little angel only drank four of each a day, why oh why did she have a heart attack. Retards.
Dear humanity, stop being stupid, stop pissing on everything I love, and Marylanders, I hate you so much sometimes.
E: After angrily reading the rest of the article, I'm convinced humanity needs to be wiped out. A girl who knew she had a heart condition drank stuff that warns against exactly that and the company that makes it gets sued when she dies. What the berkeley.

Really, I posted this to berkeley with Paul more than anything.
never had an energy drink- if i can't get the energy to get thru the day from the energy in the pre-packaged frozen dinners, fast food, and 4 cans of Pepsi Throwback i consume every day, then i don't need the energy.

You just made my day, because now, as a Canadian, I get to say one of my favourite phrases:
" 'merika, berkeley yea"
When I drink an energy drink, it's Red Bull. That's pretty rare now, though - maybe once or twice a month. It's good 'ol coffee for me now.
I had a guy at work tell me today his BIL is a food tester. He told him to never, ever drink Rockstar Energy drinks.
I wonder if it is for the same reason as this.
For some reason I'm still shocked at how many parents let their kids drink this stuff. I see atleast one a week waiting for the bus in a stroller sucking on an energy drink through a straw. Common sense should say if they can't drink it from the can they are probably too young for a big can of Monster, Amp, ect.
The liquor store just discounted them for me last night because I bought so many. Life gets tough when you take two depressants and try to stay awake.
I had my first cup of coffee the other day. I like hot tea, though. I resist caffeine heavily. Kid #4 is almost here and job #2 is starting to wind down. Do people need the energy or is it a crutch? Lots of folks become addicted just like any other drug. A shame, for sure, that people are dying, but it's just like ODing on anything else.

There are such better options in tea (than coffee) if you cab stand it. (as I drink coffee before finishing off this Monster.)
Soon you'll have to be 18 to buy high caffeine drinks.
I love the green Monster. Though I only have them on occasion. For one they're expensive... and I'm cheap.
That said I'm pretty impervious to caffeine, and drink way too much coffee every morning already. I can drink a Mountain Dew or caffeinated drink after dinner and still sleep like a baby.
Usually on a weekend around 2PM I hit a lull and just want to take a nap. Grab a Monster and I'm fired up and ready for the rest of the afternoon.
I can't stand the taste of any of the energy drinks, fortunately.
BTW, every time we take our kids to the pediatrician for their annual check-ups, she asks them if they drink energy drinks (they don't). Seems like there's starting to be a concerted effort to keep kids from drinking that garbage.
