Oh, but here's where you're totally wrong IMO. The induhviduals you see in WalMart are probably exactly like 80% of the American population. We're quickly sliding towards making Idiocracy a documentary movie.

You just need to get out more. Although with the advent of the super walmart, there's less overlap in customers with the local supermarket/CVS/Conveniece store.
Go to any of the local fairs (state, county, town) and you'll see a lot of the same level of induhvidual as Walmart.
On edit changed class to induhvidual to be clearer and avoid misinterpretation of intent, and not to imply anything about those that got to state fairs. I go, although I also like walmart, hmmm..... I wonder what that says about me
The guy who was eating raw meat ate $26 worth of it Unless it was filet mignon (and they don't sell THAT at Walmart), he ate a crapload of raw meat. It was near here in Carlisle that he was caught. He had four prior counts of retail theft, so he was charged with felony retail theft or something like that and thrown in jail. You should've seen this dude's mug shot in the paper. He looked like the definition of the phrase "off his rocker."

Take note, "trendy" stores don't have any stock showing on the shelves, just example product. Stock is kept in the back and brought out to you by effeminate salesmen who have already judged you useless and will speak only to your wife/SO.
Personally, I avoid those stores and wait at the nearest electronics/tool store.
My daughter just returned from Edmonton and she said that was the Austin of Canada. She said it looked and felt so much like Austin, Texas.

Not so. In Salt Lake City, teens take their dates there. They hold hands and orbit the floor for hours. Then, as a sign of class, they take the date to the attached fast food "restaurant," usually a Subway or MacDonalds.

If the traffic and road design are like Austin, it's a TERMINALLY bad thing!
Up until pretty recently I loved driving thru Austin even at rush hour because it was so much better than Dallas, Houston or San Antonio.
I've only hit rush hour once in the past 3 years and in that time I've gotten used to Fort Worth"s (lack of) rush hour so I thought Austin was horrible. But now that they've got the Austin cut off that bypasses Austin and goes by the new F1 track I'm presuming things have gotten better.
As far as getting around in old Austin vs way out NW in the newer territories, I've never found it to be a problem.
WM can't hold a candle to the old Pechin Market in Dunbar Pa.
