Haven't watched anything in this thread yet, but that Hurra Torpedo clip rocked my world a few years ago. So off-the-wall it made perfect sense!!!

Throw in Beatallica, who does Metallica versions of Beatles songs. Funny for a few minutes.

I've heard about him doing a version of the Beatles' "Tomorrow Never Knows", but I've yet to find it anywhere on the web.

I'm not way into Jon Brion, but his effort on The Grays was amazing. Still one of my all time favorites.

^^^This. And I'd get all "REPOAST" on yee, but that E36 M3 is so horrible I just can't stop listening.

"Ce-ment shoes, rat poison, TNT..." I'm pretty sure Hayseed Dixie gets my vote for 'fo-real' best cover band ev-ar. "You shook me" should've been a bluegrass song:

Yes I have obscure taste in music.

My family went and saw TAPFS last year, they said it was truly an amazing concert and the closest my generation comes to Floyd.

That gal does piano covers of Metallica, NIN, GNR, etc. It is some of the best renditions of their work. Usually I have that playing at work, nice and relaxing while still being awesomely metal.

Wow--I should have clicked first--

I was referring to Jon Brion's one man band that he does live with a bunch of Boss Loop Stations that allow him to overdub himself in real time.

Different "Jon's One Man Band"

I'm a huge Dread Zeppelin fan myself.

Google or Youtube "McRory" or "McRorie" and meet somebody who wallows in awesomeness. I saw him open for Beck and he did everything from Iron Man to Rapper's Delite, all while accompanying himself on not one but TWO keytars, body- and shoe-mounted percussion, and doing the guitar solos by humming through an overdriven headset mic.

Best opening act evar.
