Disney's recent "Witch Mountain" movie comes out on DVD this week. P71 people will enjoy it: a Crown Vic taxi gets as much screen time as any of the actors, and arguably shows more emotional range than Dwayne Johnson does.

Unless they are recycled P71 police cars, ask me how I know.

I'll wait until we actually get a DVD to check this for sure, but I THINK the car in question is a recycled police version. I presume they don't go up a digit just because they get painted yellow.

I think I saw a police intersecptor badge on the back of it in the trailers.

P72 is merely the fleet vehicle code, right?

Yup, P72 is fleet/street patrol/unmarked. No real difference from the P71 except a solid color, can have chrome, some heavy-duty components are standard-issue, and most likely a more highway-friendly rear gear with an open diff.

Most Hollywood 'Vics are P71's and have been in a zillion movie/TV shoots.

I like the new Die Hard from a few years ago. The P71 in that was a total bad ass.
