You could also bank with Fidelity. They've expanded their services to include basic banking only instead of savings accounts you get money markets.

Not sure how it works in the US but I switched to a credit union several years ago after one of the big banks up here f-ed up my mother's estate royally.
Been extremely happy with my credit union experience.
TD can choke on a bag of dicks.
I too am done with banks. They're all a bunch of crooks, and Wells Fargo has done their best to prove it. The credit union meets all my needs for a local financial institution.
I would LOVE to be at the CU, but where I work a little bit of everywhere precludes that notion. Travel nursing kind of puts that on the back burner.

I guess I like a real person I can talk to face to face and not have a 2 dimensional conversation with a person who doesn't give a rats rearend of my problem. Call me old school then.
In my experience with brick and mortar banks, when you have any problem of real significance, face to face adds zero additional depth to the conversation, zero additional care from the people, and zero additional authority to address the problem... At least not without relying on (the employees calling) the same call center that you're trying to avoid by going into a brick and mortar branch in the first place. The only thing it adds are a few fake smiles, a few superficial pleasantries, and a stereotypical middle man.

Shared Branching is a wonderful aspect of the credit unions though, unless you need to withdraw more than $500 at a time. It's what I used to move across the country with, and I've even used it on vacation.
Personally, I'd rather have an online account with no human interaction, but I have to make cash deposits, so until tellers are replaced with robots, I'm SOL.
Unless you have a real locally owned bank, put my in the CU group. I've been a member of my PA based credit Union since 99. Durning that time I lived in Az for a year and CT for the past 7.
Online services and phone have covered everything I need. The only annoyance has been if I need to deposit cash, but that's not a common occurrence..

I've picked up decent NA Miata money via shared branching without hiccups in one go.
