If anyone is in the market for a good pistol I just saw this deal and thought I would share. Full size and compact M&P pistols in 9mm and .40 for $399 and free shipping. They're sold out of the Full Size 9mm without a thumb safety but everything else is still in stock.

Ever since my model 64 failed on me, I can't see myself getting a modern S&W. See any Ruger sales, hit me up.

I follow them on Facebook and it's where I find most of my deals.

They've got some LE trade in Mini-14s for sale at Summit Gun Broker. Personally I'm itching to get my mitts on an M&P9. I really like how they feel in the hand. To bad I just bought my wife an XDm and I need to get my A/C repaired. Doh!

Didn't love the M&P 9mm I shot. Not sure if it was full or compact.

Leaning very heavily towards the IWI Baby Eagle.

I did see and bookmark slickguns. Do they just post to Facebook the very best deals?

We're getting close enough to July 1st I can really start shopping. Whooray improved DC gun laws!

I hope you are talking about Ruger revolvers and not semi-autos.

I carry a Ruger P345 and have put many more rounds through it than that S&W revolver. Luckily, that was a work gun and they replaced it. My next SA will be a Ruger as well.

I bought a P90DC in '92(or 3) that still have and still like. Is there a problem with Ruger semi autos that I'm unaware of?

I believe he's being a facetious E36 M3 disturber.

S&W vs Ruger
Chevy vs Ford
Miata vs P71

We know the latter is the answer to all.

Yeah, thats it. What exactly is this statement then?

"Ever since my model 64 failed on me, I can't see myself getting a modern S&W. See any Ruger sales, hit me up."

M&Ps are not complete garbage and you comparing your experience with one S&W revolver and a Ruger semi-auto. Apples to oranges ya think?

I'm not sure how they pick which ones they share to facebook. Some days they'll share dozens of deals, and some days they only share a two or three.

I was actually just looking at an IWI Baby Eagle recently. Initially my wife really liked the CZ-75. But the only thing we could find at our local brick and mortar store was the IWI. After trying the DA trigger she went with the XDm. Neat guns though.

And does this really need to turn into a "my brand is better than your brand" discussion?

Any of you shot one yet? The M&P has the worst trigger I've ever felt on a pistol--a mile long and heavy. But then, I'm a 1911 guy, so I'm spoiled when it comes to trigger feel.

In my experience the worst trigger pull ever goes easily to the Ruger SR9, it is unbelievably bad.

I like the XD but will stay with my Glock 19 thanks, if it aint broken don't fix it.

I had originally been looking into a Witness but after checking out pretty much all the 75 variations/copies/clones at a large gun show, I liked the grip on the Baby Eagles best. Seems like the frame is the only part truly unique to IWI compared to the other cz75/tanfoglio variants so that's pretty much driving the bus for now. Still have yet to shoot one :-/

I did like the SP-01 and Witness grips so they're not completely ruled out, just liked the Baby Eagle a little more.

I did shoot an xd and liked it ok. best accuracy out of the range rentals I tried that day. If I weren't pretty set on a metal frame gun with caliber convertibility, it would be a top option.

Even though the gun laws here are getting better, it's still an expensive pain. Going with a versatile gun you are sure you want to keep long term is a must. You cannot for the foreseeable future sell or transfer a gun, so you're stuck with it until you move or die.
