Since the project S10 will eventually have an open body, I would like something stealthy for sound. I do like to listen to radio mostly.
I've seen the eBay MP3 player car amplifiers. For under $20, it seems like a decent idea. It's an open vehicle, so I am not looking for, nor do I expect, decent sound quality.
But I'm wondering about FM reception on an MP3 player in a moving vehicle. Has anyone tried it?
FM thingies for mp3 players suck.
That's what I've heard from everyone that's used em.
My "smart" phone has an FM radio app, it uses the headphone jack wires for an antenna. Works pretty good! However, it is also capable of streaming pandora etc...
With the death of CD's and tape decks, I too want to ditch the clunky too bright at night typical head unit.
Motorcycle amp's are popular, I would like to try it out someday.
