One of the first off the boat...the car is amazing! As with all of my previous Porsches, the only real flaw that I can see is that the car belongs to my boss and he only lets me sit in it.
Does he let me drive it? He may be the best boss on the planet, but he's not stupid!

Is it brand new? I can't tell...
LOL, it does look a bit like every other 911...
Nice beetle 'vert!
Oh, sorry, I meant Super Beetle Cabriolet....
How'd my pants get so tight so fast?

997, or the new one?
That's a 991, the new one. You can tell by the funky little LED lights above the grills that wrap around, though I've already seen aftermarket bumper conversions for 997's with them...
If I had that car and your boss had his foot in a bucket of E36 M3, we'd both be stepping out.

Whatever "it" is, Porsche 'verts just do the opposite for me. Can't really explain it, but there it is.
That isn't a Carrera 4S. It might be a Carrera S, but not a C4S.
The 991 C4S has not been unveiled yet, and especially not in cabriolet form.
PS - easiest way to tell 997 vs 991:
997 mirror is on the window:
991 mirror is on the door like the 911-993:

I have to confess that eventhough I know there are numbers like 993 and 997 out there I couldn't tell you what they coorelate to. They are all just 911's to me. There are air cooled ones and then there are water cooled ones.

I can barely get by. I hold the minimum knowledge required to be a PCA member and not get laughed at. Check it:
- 911 is everything from the 1964 with chrome grills to the SC
- 964 is the funny looking one with the 1-piece bumpers but upright headlights
- 993 is the good looking one with laid-down headlights and full-width laid-down taillights, last of the air-cooled
- 996 is the one with Boxster headlights and water cooling
- 997 has round headlights again and the aforementioned window mirrors
- 991 has door mirrors and funky front LED's
Just don't get into any conversations with 911 guys because then they'll drive you nuts with SWB (early) and LWB (late) longhoods (64-73), impact-bumpers, SC's, G50 Carrera's, and other such nonsense.

SWB - 1964-1968
LWB - 1969-1973 (72s are denoted by an oil fill door on the passenger rear quarter)
Impact bumper cars - 1974-77
SC - 1978-1983
Carrera 3.2 (915 gearbox) - 1984-1985
Carrera 3.2 (G50 gearbox) - 1986-1989
964 - 1989-1994
993 - 1995-1998
996 - 1998-2005
997 - 2005-2012
991 - 2012-?
In reality, 74-89 are very similar in visual representation, but they have different sized engines.
There are other differences among them, and there are obviously different versions. 2.7 RS, Turbo, GT3, etc. That's where it gets sorta confusing, but it's very easy once you get to know them. If you have questions, please let me know!

Don't feel lonesome. My boss just bought a new Porsche Cayman S to go with his slightly older Mercedes 500 SLK. He's offered everyone in the office to drive it except me. Think I should be offended?

This and this is why I don't understand why 911s are rated on the most beautiful car list. I mean they have basically slowly evolved but the shape is still Beetle-ish. I would love an '80s air-cooled on though.

Dear god that makes me laugh. 24K for something that wicked makes. You can see there crap molds and wavy body parts from space.
They make Masonary cars look understated.

C2 looks the same as C4... C4 was just released one year earlier...
