Ladies and gentlemen, I'd like to introduce you all to my newest family member, Aria Rose, who was born at 12:53 this morning and weighed in at 8 pounds even. This is my daughter's first child (and hopefully her last; I love her but I think her ability to be a parent is kinda sketchy).

Congratulations. Your children can surprise you at how well they can step up when they are responsible for another human being. Just give love and support and try to keep the negative stuff to minimum.

Congratulations! She looks hale and hardy.
Congratulations. That is a cute kid and I cannot lie.

No kidding, the majority of newborns look like Winston Churchill dipped in 40W motor oil. Aria came out pink, puffy, and pretty
I hate to say it, but technically, this makes you a Grandma.
In reply to 1988RedT2 :
Technically, I became a grandma when I found out last year my oldest knocked up his girlfriend his freshman year in high school and has a 5-year-old daughter. But I'm not gonna be Grandma, I'm gonna be Gigi, which is infinitely cooler because Gigi fixes cars, bakes outrageous cupcakes, plays video games, and has a background as a linguist in the Army.
Gigi does indeed sound much cooler! Congrats to you and your daughter!
