I had a party Saturday night, some knocked some rang the doorbell (which is probably the most it's been used since this time last year). At the end of the night I heard a weird humming sound in the hallway, didn't come from any room. I realized it was in the middle of the hallway and it was the doorbell.
I took the cover off, tried moving any parts that could move. Still humming. Is it dead?

Fix the stuck button.
This. It probably went "ding dong" until, one time, it just went "ding." If you go fiddle with the button, it'll probably go "dong," and stop buzzing.
Looks like you have a real humdinger

If you leave it humming long enough it will burn up one of the coils and you will only get one tone out of it. Same thing happened with mine. I just left the single tone, since we don't have a doorbell on the back door. The two tone system is supposed to be wired so that the front door has two tones and the other door only uses one, so you know which door to check.
A burned coil does not keep the rest from working, but is a sign that the doorbell button is/was stuck.

Yup. The button itself was cracked, and when I removed the whole thing from the front door it stopped. Looks like a trip to Home Depot today, hope I can find one the same size or close to it.

Hopefully it wasn't stuck more than 10-hours causing you to break your dong.
I believe it is 4 hours before you are supposed to call your physician to avoid breaking the dong.

One of our favorite Halloween "tricks" involved doorbell buttons and paper matchsticks
