I'm with the others. I don't care how non ugly it looks from the drivers seat, there is so much competition in it's class from Jag, MB, Aston, fancy Fiat's etc that there is no need to be saddled with the uglyness on the outside.

If I could afford one of these, I'd still rather have one of the others and a "normal" Porcshe when I got that itch...
But I as see a good number of these on the road (at least one every day now - usually 2 or 3), those of larger bank balances obviously have differing wants...

I have seen a lot more new Jag XJs on the road then Porsche Panathingies.
I see a lot of XJ's as well. Probably 2-3x as many as the Porsches. But IIRC, most models are a fair bit less expensive.

Jaguar XJ8 short wheelbase base model starts at $73,700.
Base Panamera starts at $75,200.
Of coarse I don't really like the new XJ. XJs should look like this.

Makes you wonder how often that kind of thing happens.
Hey, at least the Viper was the customer's car... even if only for a few minutes.
The Panamera is the future. The latest numbers show that the Cayenne and Panamera accounted for 78% of Porsche's March 2012 sales volume. The remaining 22% included all of the 911, Boxster and Cayman models sold. Porsche is a mainstream people-hauler company now. That ratio will be even more skewed when the new baby-ute goes on sale.
Be glad there are lots of people shelling out for their people haulers... that's how they afford building GT cars.
I know a few of us who have driven a Panamera... Awesome piece of technology wrapped in a very good car.

Apparently Lesley bumped me from my week of test driving....something about some other journalist needing it.Plus, she keeps posting cool Gulf GT40 pics on my Wall. I can't win with that woman.
