My new project for the next few months is getting this bad boy running, repainted, and on the road.

It's a 1958 Ford 901 Powermaster, Model 961. It has a 4-Cyl that produces 62hp and 166ft-lbs of torque.

The reason I am rebuilding this is for a Cancer Benefit in July. My original post about it is here.

An news article on the benefit is here.

Our first job is to get the Forklift attachment off the back. We have assessed what we need just to get it running. Should take about $200 for parts to get it running and another few hundred to get it looking good.

I was cruising my subscribed threads and remembered this one. Any chance for an update?

On a side note, I'm trying to do some trading that would net me an old 8N Ford tractor. Here's hoping!

I always liked these. Can someone share what model and year range these guys are?

That looks like the ford "N" series (2N, 9N, 8N). I'm hoping to drag one home, though it may not work out.

I forget the years, but there are good resources at the end of a google search. This one will be particularly helpful: http://www.oldfordtractors.com/idhistory.htm (I found it here: http://www.mytractorforum.com/showthread.php?t=98450).

The tank reads empty. Just put some gas in her and she should start right up... Right?
