Reworking triumph suspension mounts... Grinding old welds resulted in embedded metal grit in the DD's windshield. Thought it was far enough away that no sparks were even close. I was mistaken.

Some super soapy water and ultra fine steel wool might get it off the windshield.

Try bronze wool instead, it won't rust.

Driving around with pits in one of mine from welding... Nice to know I ain't the only one...

That's all right - the body shop shot a few in my back window that I didn't notice for 2 weeks. I did point out how they burnt the carpet fuzz in 3 spots on the hard board but I told them to not worry about it.

The day I got my car home from having the back end painted in a rear end accident; I was cutting my lawn and shot a piece of mulch right into the middle of the door leaving 2 small dents that only I can see. Literally 30 minutes after getting the car home.
