He handed his mother a bottle of water. "If this is Smart Water, how did it get trapped in a bottle."
I'm worried he's going to be as much of a smart ass as I am.

One day at work I was telling a slacker to get hustling.
"Wuh?I work hard!"
"Nate, if I worked as hard as you do, I could go home well rested."
My old man's words coming out of my mouth. Your son is doomed.

I had pretty much the same thought about smart water the other day. Have you considered therapy?
You say that like it is a bad thing. If learns to use it for good instead of evil he can use it as an advantage.
My oldest daughter picked up how to be a smart a$$ from me. She uses it to her advantage working with a bunch of retired or former military guys. (I'm also a retired military guy and she is very much an army brat.) She holds her own against them and shuts them down regularly which in turn has earned their respect. They've helped her career out moving up. Won't be too long till she outranks dad as a civil service.
I'm not truly worried about him. A smart mouth goes with an agile brain. I just have a hard time keeping a straight face when he spouts off that stuff.
