Just found out I'm working long days Saturday and Sunday after getting my butt kicked all week. Grading companies stop for no one.
Any weekend plans gone. Wife is pissed because she gets no break from being home with 2 kids under 2.
Berk-lee.
/end rant.
Look at the bright side - some of us have to spend the weekend with our wives and children.

And some of us have to operate large machinery while lacking sleep and choking to death on soybean particulate so those bastard vegetarians can have their tofo.
Work retail. Weekends are a fevered dream.

Worked every single weekend from 10-12th grade in high school. It motivated enough to choose a degree that wouldn't require me to work consistent weekends.
don't feel too bad my $2014 entry form is still pinned up in the kitchen and my car is in pieces in the garage.
I've worked about 50% of my weekends this year; I don't like it either, but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do.

You too, huh?
I'm just going to work on it all winter. Screw this last minute bullE36 M3.
I do weekends, evenings and holidays, 24/7. At $145 an hour. Needless to say, it doesn't happen often.

look at the bright side: you are pretty much a farmer that actually makes a decent profit for the time you put in..
one of my cousins works for a company that does what you are doing. he was bragging about how much money he's going to be making over the next few months working pretty much 24/7 until all the crops are in... i did some quick math in my head and pointed out to him that i was going to be making almost as much as him over the same period of time, and i will still get 3 day weekends..
Been working 3-4 weeks in a row before a weekend off.
One of our supplier plants had a fire so production was cut back... and no weekends.
I am not complaining.
I guess I shouldn't complain. I'm blessed with a great job that has no end in sight.
I work entertainment for a living.. I work so the rest of you can play..
atlleast you could have weekend plans. I work weekends, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday night from 11pm-4am. driving drunk people home. some days it is crazy slow like working Canadian thanksgiving weekend, and other weekends is really busy... i'll trade some of you for sure.

Yep... I worked retail for enough years to appreciate my M-F job now.
I have to work next Sat. It'll be the first time I've worked on a weekend in... I don't know how many years. I'll live. And since we really don't have budgets to work O/T, it just means I'll comp a day during the week.
Working this weekend too. The way this month's schedule fell I'm working ten straight days but so far it's all been nights so I can't complain. The last few weeks I'd been bouncing from shift to shift.
we have Motley Crue in at the Borgata This weekend.. did 16 hours yesterday and will do another 10 or 12 tonight for Show, out, and restore.
Gotta love a place that does not mind paying OT for a good cause

i wouldn't exactly call motley crüe a good cause
Today is one of the local pick n pulls half off day. I planned on playing hookie from work for an hour and looking for seats for the Daytona. Instead I'm at home achy, sore, and expunging something from my nose the color of the beigest of camries.

The 3mo or so I do this pays my rent/utilities for the year. And thanks to prices being artificially suppressed again, fertilizer and seed at all time highs, we're probably going to see a bunch of people in the hole this season. When corn spiked a couple years ago, and everyone screamed bloody murder about ethanol driving up prices.....that was due to the department of Ag flat out lying about yields that didn't exist. They do it every year.

they even, like, signed a contract and stuff...
Unfortunately, Mick Mars (who's considerably older than the other 3) has ankylosing spondylitis which has been getting worse over the last few years, so while he can still play, it's doubtful he'll be able to tour for much longer.
Weekend? It's just a bullE36 M3 word. So you go on and stamp your form, sonny, and stop wasting my time.
Because to tell you the truth, I don't give a E36 M3.
Trying to make lemons into lemonade. I had to work a Saturday night but since it was still short skirt weather and lots of halloween costumes were out so I got to take in the sights.
