That's my guess: veiwer/ratings are down = less ad income = less production budget to support 5 hosts.

In reality, the show has always been about Adam and Jamie with a supporting crew who gradually became popular. I remember seeing those early episodes with Kari, Grant and Tory. They weren't nearly as comfortable in front of the camera as they are now. Anyone else remember the other woman who used to assist them?

I also recall they've been doing shows for the Discovery Network outside of Mythbusters for some time. They are known, reasonably competent on screen and have fans. I'm sure they'll find work.

All good TV shows go through a meteoric rise, plane off, then start getting 'old', ten years is about max. It's happened with pretty much every show out there with the possible exception of The Simpsons. Fearless prediction: the whole cast has socked away plenty o' skrilla for their golden years and are happy as clams. We won't see Jamie and Adam after next year.

I disagree. She's got a smokin' body, and a great face. She isn't the epitome of modern culture "skinny with no boobs", but she certainly is good looking. And I'm the first person to call someone out on saying someone is hot. Here is an easy comparison:

1) Angelina Jolie
2) Jennifer Aniston

Which is hotter?

Oh, and for the record, nobody says in an exit interview/twitter statement "the show is going a different direction". They definitely didn't leave because they wanted to.

No, Kari is not that whole '$250,000 of plastic surgery, airbrushed face, slinky $3500 outfit' kind of 'hot' that the average mouth breather finds attractive, honestly to me those girls look like hookers. But you know something?

I have to disagree, The Simpsons has FAR overstayed its welcome IMO.

According to internet lore, Scottie left of her own free will due to a disagreement with work conditions or some such thing between her and A&J. They grind the organ, she didn't like being the monkey. I'm guessing Discovery is looking to bail out a dying show for whatever reason- maybe A&J start moonshining or something.

I don't often comment on looks. But yeah, this. I don't know who kardashian is but kari at least appears to be genuinely quite pretty.
