You can't name one in particular... could you... say it was large, violet in color and lived in Binkley's Closet?

It's definitely a tie between Stupendous Man and Spaceman Spiff

For current stuff, I really like Pearls Before Swine. I like Rat best of all, he's completely without morals or conscience.

Can't believe this hasn't popped up here of all places

But honestly this simple image by Shawn Kerri probably meant more to me in the mid 80's than any comic book hero

"The Puppet Master" is a fascinating one either way. The Ghost in the Shell movie merely scratched the surface. He/she/it inhabited this body in the movie, the only image I could find.

Buddy at work found a theme based on this for his iPhone..

Was never a big comic fan as a kid, but had a few issues of Batman. I still like Batman, just the animated version these days. Dini's series from the 1990s is my favorite. I've always liked cartoons better than comic books.

Japanese: Himura Kenshin. Trying to atone for past behavior. Trying to keep the beast within restrained. I'm bi-polar, but wasn't diagnosed until I was already an adult. This guy's struggle really appeals to me. He's the red haired guy with the cross shaped scar on his cheek. It's been animated as well, but the comic book's ending is a lot better than the TV show. The manga artist who created it took a break for awhile, but the folks who made the anime just kept going because it was a top 10 rated show. The "real" (as Rurouni Kenshin fans say) ending are the only graphic novels in my possession at the moment..

  • Marvel: 3-way tie for Capt. America, Wolverine, and Dead Pool (see above posts above )
  • Anime: Hard to nail down a favorite

Of late, I also have to give credit to the "Bone" series. Hard to pick a favorite between Phoney Bone and Grandma Ben:

I also loved Agent 355 from "Y: The Last Man":

I also enjoyed V and the Joker. Rorschach is another favorite.

Recently the kid has gotten into this anime. Looks spooky, but it's well written and the struggle between the good and bad in all of us is central.

Then there's Sgt. Frog. Don't know a whole lot about that one just yet, but it's pretty interesting.

Carnage as a baddy is pretty awesome. Basically he just torments Spiderman.

Phoniex from X-Man was pretty awesome....but I thought most X-Man characaters were too simplified...except....

Gambit. He's been around forever, is usually a badass, and the only person he seems to care about is Rogue.

Plus, he make stuff explode just by touching it. Seriously cool.

But Batman is probably the most favorite just out of sheer depth of character.

Seriously though, Who could stop Batman? I can't believe he's not getting more love here. Bain broke his back and he survived. Look at Infinity Crisis; He built the damn OMACs. He sees all and knows all. I know he's awful mainstream but who can stop The Batman?

All challengers welcome.

He scares Big Blue.
