...Coat For Sale.
Surely one you guys has recently found yourself in the doghouse after dragging home some rusting hulk with dreams of entering it in the $2010 Challenge, the BABE Rally or the 24 Hours of LeMons. Or perhaps, you finally realize that the answer truly is Miata, and are frantically searching Craigslist as we speak. You know that's not going to go over well when the little woman comes home from work and sees your new toy leaving oil stains on the driveway.
What could be better for restoring domestic tranquility than slipping a low mileage, full length Natural Blond Beaver Coat under the Christmas tree this year?
My wife has owned this for a while, but has only worn it a few times. I have a receipt proving that her ex-husband paid over $3400 for it, following some misguided indiscretions that probably seemed like a good idea at the time. I also have an appraisal, indicating a value of $4500, for insurance purposes.
It's stupid to pay that much money for a freakin' coat.
So don't.
Make me an offer. I promise not to be insulted. Hell, I didn't pay for it. I'm not listing it on e-Bay or Craigslist because I'm not interested in wasting my time with e-mail from liberal hippies over a bunch of animals who are already dead. Nobody recognizes Bang-for-the-Buck potential quite like GRM'ers.
Your Christmas shopping begins and ends right here. I'm all ears.

Dumb question, but what size is it? (Not that i'm interested for my wife... as she'd prefer a custom shift knob for her Mini......)
We can't find a size inside the coat or on the receipt. For reference, wife in question is 5'4", 110 lbs. It's a loose fit on her. She thinks it's a Size 6, but can't be sure.
Great for girlfriends, too!
Hanging a $3,400 coat on a Home Depot door-priceless!
(I only know because I have home depot doors in my house)

Hahaha, excellent response Woody.
Ha! Nice Edit woody!
I am happy to say I own an example 2 out of the 3 of the cars shown in that photo (and an example of 100% of the doors shown in previous posts.)
Holy crap that's alot of money!

I'll give ya 40, shipped.
I'd love to buy that for my wife, though I think she'd hate it and then I'd be in the same boat you're currently in.
i am disappoint.
With that thread title I was hoping for dirty jokes.
How loose is it on her? And what about length?
How is the wear on it? It seems like a new coat, but I just want to make sure it really is.
I am interested in it. And not just because I've always like a blond beaver.

Does that make that Porsche caveman class?
Some of you guys would love that thing as a seat cover- just think of the one liners!
...or buff out your Porsche with it...
He said buff.....at least he didn't say polish.

I have that door too! But mine is a 36" left hand, that one appears to be a 32" right hand. I also have a Porsche, but it's a rather rough 944...and my coat looks like it was stolen from a homeless man.
Dear Mr Insurance guy: I would like to submit a claim after the horrible destruction of my wifes $4500 fur coat. I put it in the garage on top of my car to take a funny picture, and must have forgotten to take it back in.
sometime during the night a band of rougue beavers must have broken into my garage and chewed it into dozens of small pieces, that look very similar to car wash mitts.
When i awoke my vehicles were spotless, but the coat was destroyed, and "Beavers Revenge" was chewed into my door frame!
PS: my carwash bottle is also now empty, should i submit a separate claim for that one?

Mistress?
That'll work, too.
I'm not judgemental and I won't ask questions. What happens with the beaver, stays with the beaver.
I'm surprised no one has mentioned how pimptastic that is.
just add this:
Ask and you shall recieve!
Just be careful of what you wish for.

Nope, actually was thinking for myself. Always wanted a giant fur coat, but being 6' 230# is probably not going to work with this coat.
