So, Chandler and eastcoastmojo are meeting at my place Saturday. May as well extend the invitation to anyone else local! Ill order cheap pizza for lunch. Masks required due to my preexisting condition, and wife requires them.
Albemarle NC. 9am to when the hell ever we get sick of each other.
Even if you're not very local. But bored, youre welcome to come! Pm me and reply here so i know you did. Don't feel comfortable putting my address out on al gores internet.
Hmm. I have the offspring with me this weekend. Next time though. Would be a great opportunity to jump over to Uwharrie afterward and get some more miles on my bike.
I'd love to come!
Not sure about this weekend... I'll get back to you. Keep me posted next time.
Saturday the 10th?
I'm working Midnight that day, dangit. I'll see what happens.
What's the plan for entertainment? Is it as cool as taking a Neon apart?
In reply to Brett_Murphy (Ex-Patrón) :
Yup, 10th.
As far as entertainment? We have a radio, cheap pizza, a Dakota convertible and grm relay stuff. Maybe more parts purging and driving around the neighborhood in sketchy crap cars?
Are chandler and/or ECM anywhere near Newport NC 28570? And if yes, could possibly transport an S10 tailgate to Duster's place?
You have a welder and spare car parts that you don't need, correct? You know what to do.
In reply to AngryCorvair (Forum Supporter) :
PM sent.
Just to clarify, I won't be able to make it to Michael's on Saturday. Plan is to go Tuesday the 13th, late morning.
In reply to EastCoastMojo (Forum Supporter) :
Replied
I'm working this weekend or I'd come hang out for a few hours.
Albermarle is a bit far for me. Aren't you & eastcoast mojo in Raleigh. If you have a meet & greet there or nearby at someother time, I'm probably in.
In reply to Dusterbd13-michael (Forum Supporter) :
If the planets align, ECM will be bringing an S10 tailgate for you to add to the Quasi Mofo pile. :-)
Brett and mojo are the Raleigh crew.
And i understand its a last minute thing. I do think its high tine we schedule a good one for everyone with a bit of advance warning.
So, i know my house is fair game with reasonable precautions in this uncertain time.
Dunno about anywhere else. Maybe do a bbq kinda thing somewhere central nc-ish?
Michael, if y'all want to plan a get-together for the NC crowd, I'd be happy to host it at my shop since I'm pretty central. We can grill out and hang out and I have plenty of space in the shop for hanging out and outside for parking.
I sent Mojo a message to see if she can take your bushings down, Dust Buster.
Thanks Brett!

That does seem liks a good spot. Think we may should start a new thread? And plan for spring? You tell me. Your house....
In reply to Dusterbd13-michael (Forum Supporter) :
I'm not much of a planner/organizer, so I'm good for whenever you want to have it. Just need to make sure I'm off work whenever you want to have it, I work swing shift so I'm not always off on the weekend. December and January aren't good for me, we have shutdown at work then and I'll be working alot, otherwise I'm pretty open.

Hmmm... Siler City. I remember going down there to look at an RX-7 that was located in the corner of a chicken farm. I passed on the car, because it was inop, and I couldn't tell if the car smelled like chicken poop or not, given how strong the smell in the air was.
I also recall there being a halfway good curvy road that went into Asheboro. Was it Cox Road? I can't remember.
In reply to Brett_Murphy (Ex-Patrón) :
Was the RX-7 a red FC? If so I think I know the car you are talking about, was still sitting there a year or so ago when I drove by.
You are thinking of Old Liberty Road, it runs between Liberty and Asheboro.
In reply to Brett_Murphy (Ex-Patrón) :
NC 42 around Colridge has some nice bits.
In reply to untchabl:
It was a good number of years ago. It was an S4 FC RX-7, but I don't recall the color. It had to be a 4 lug or GXL, because if it had been a Sport, 88 GTU or any year Turbo, I'd probably have bought it anyhow.
Bushings acquired. Next up, tailgate.
