I used to play computer games, and since my Stepfather worked for Time Warner, we are probably the only people to ever have the Sega Channel.

Then I graduated high school.

And now I play basically nothing. Ever. I have -0- time.

The wife and I had a short time pre-kid where we played Civilization together, not sure which variety, I think IV. I might be interested in doing this again for date nights. Is the newest Civ game worth it, or are there other strategy style games like that which may be better?

I know my 14-yo likes EU4.  I think that stands for Europa Universalis IV or some such.  I think he dabbles in Civ also, but I don't know what flavor.   Not to brag, but he's something of a genius, and doesn't play a lot of computer games.

I know he also has a Steam account.  Not sure if EU4 is via Steam, but I think it is.

FYI -Stellaris, Crusader Kings, Hearts of Iron, and Europa Universalis are on sale as a bundle for 73% off on Steam.

Also, I really enjoy Civ VI

And my guilty secret pleasure is Car Mechanic Simulator.

If you enjoyed Thief, you might want to give the Dishonored series a try. It's a very good stealth-action game, a little more combat heavy than Thief, but you can play the entire game not killing a single person and avoiding most combat, or killing everyone. It can be a little scary games (there are some zombie-like plague victims) on website http://www.kizifan.com/puzzle-skill/friv-scary-maze-game. There is a lot of exploration, too, in that there are alternate routes to find and different solutions to problems to explore. Enemies will obviously try to find you but, if you're "playing it right", you'll be hiding well enough not to worry about it. I find it a calming experience, surprisingly, most of the time I play it.

Pc game, there's this neat little game called terraria.  It's a 2d Minecraft sort of thing, but more fun imo. And the graphics are charmingly 8bit
