I need a decent watch - my last watch was a Wenger Alpine Rallye - I just have to find a decent jeweler to repair it for a mechanism issue. Meanwhile I hve $90 burning a hole and ask you what can I get? Leather band only.

Here was my Alpine.

Depends what you consider decent, but I've found killer deals on watches at overstock.com

I'd go on Amazon and find a Bulova or Seiko for that price.

There's actually some nice looking watches here. I personally like the look of a lot of the Stuhrlings.
Another website with some nice stuff.

I just got an Invicta for Christmas that's not my style. If anyone here is interested maybe we could make a deal. Looks like this:

In reply to novaderrik:

In the days before cell phones, I went through 4 different Databank watches. Great for storing phone numbers and dates.

You don't have a phone? Watches get smashed, scratched, and mangled, working on cars!

How about some kind of Seiko 5? It's probably the least expensive way to get an automatic.

Tons of styles, too: http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_ss_i_1_6?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=seiko+5&sprefix=seiko+%2Caps%2C228&rh=i%3Aaps%2Ck%3Aseiko+5

I have a Timex Expedition Metal Field watch for about two years with no issues. The watch looks nice, fits great, and is easy to see at night. I paid about $50 two years ago and now listed for $53 on Timex website.
