Anyone else have this issue? I had Adobe Acrobat "update", but much prefer the old one. The new one displays fonts much worse, and wants to "prepare" any document I open, slowing things down. Any way to fix this?

uninstall the new version and go find an older version on the internet, then make sure to disable the Adobe Update service from Control Panel.

That said, it will be more susceptible to malware with the older version, so I'd be careful there.

Some people hate Apple products, or M$, or whatever. Me, I hate Adobe - particularly Acrobat. I don't know how it's possible to be the best at what it does while still sucking so hard. And Adobe has zero interest in fixing problems that have been around for generations of releases.

Install Evince for Windows or Sumatra PDF. It'll also fix the slowness and security problems!

Good call on Sumatra. Just downloaded it and the fonts display a LOT better.

I'll have to check those out. My previous goto alternatives have becomes bloated pieces of crap.

You'll need to log in to post.
