JJ was arrogant, but suave when he needed to be. Vince Vaughn can only portray one of those while acting and it isn't suave.

I like most of the suggestions so far but please leave Vince Vaughn and George Clooney out of this. They are both actors who play the same character in every movie. I'm torn between Johnny Knoxville and Robert Downey Jr. for Burt Reynolds' character. Sacha Baron Cohen (sp?) as the Sheikh would be a hit.

I Love Cannonball, and I'm liking the idea. I agree with keeping Mr. Chan, and giving Burt some role, maybe either the race host, or Mr. Foyte.

As far as Brosnan, I like it. A possible issue is, supposedly, after the first one UA/MGM got PISSED and changed all future Bond contracts to include "No Bond parodies" I'm not sure if that is only while still under contract, or in all perpetuity.

+1 on SBC as the Sheikh.

Farrah's character is hard to pin. I think Zooey could pull off the air-head part of the role, but that is it.

Ultimately, I think the hardest part is doing a movie like this after a decade of FF movies?

Yeah I was trying my best to think of someone and I couldn't pin down anyone for Fawcett.

I thought about Elisha Cuthbert as a possibility.

But Knoxville is the RIGHT kind of one trick pony. If you ever watched the remake of Dukes of Hazzard (ok it was garbage, but the car action was nice.... and I really want to go to that college) Knoxvilles portrayal of whatever Duke boy he was SCREAMS Burt Reynolds easy sarcasm and general...iono.
