I'm not in the market for a new car, but the notion of getting a new car for 40% off (or more) is awfully enticing.
This dealership in Leesburg, VA has less than week to sell their remaining cars.

There's a lot of that going on around here as well. 'LOST OUR FRANCHISE! EVERYTHING MUST GO!' But I have also heard from more than one of my customers that when you get there it's like 'Huh? Whaddya talking about? Ain't no 40% off.'
Well it's 40% off what I want to sell it to you for.
Jeep dealer here got axed. All the windsheilds are painted up invoice minus all incentives. However, I used to work for that dealer chain as a salesman. That is as often happens just to get you in the door, then they try to sell you at full MSRP.

HOLY CRAP! I didn't know it was possible to spend $40K on a mini van. I thought those things were half that.

Oh yeah, all those fancy spinning sto-go seats, dvd players, coffee tables all add up.
We leased an 06 minivan for $99 / month. Base model, no sto go seats, no power sliding door, NO ABS (we didnt know about that) - still stickered for over 25K!
In 2002, the top model of Chrysler's minivan STARTED at $36K, tho I believe it had leather and AWD. I checked the prices versus Toyota and Honda and equipped similarly, the Chryslers BEFORE rebates undercut the ToyHonda by a few HUNDRED bucks. At trade in time....need I say more?
Too bad all the trucks are 4wd,or I would make a trip down south for that sort of savings. Why are all the trucks there 4wd? I can understand it up here in snowy New England, but in VA I can see the need for 4wd,but then again I don't see the need here either.
