Ok, not sure if this is required, but some of the other forums i'm a part of ask you to say a bit about one's self before posting. So, here goes.
I've dug cars for as long as I can remember. (I've been into airplanes for even longer.) I'm currently a student looking to get a degree in mechanical engineering. But don't let that fool you, as I'm damn near 30! I hope to have a Miata soon. Anyone want to trade one for a clapped out cop car? I really don't know anything, but I've got a big mouth and I'm opionionated. Do I qualify?

Hmm... want a Miata (so you know The Answer)... already have a clapped out cop car... big mouth... opionated...
Yep! Sounds like you'll fit in well here. Welcome aboard!
A number of us are airplane folks too.
Hmmm... Miata vs. clapped-out cop car. This should be interesting.

It is required that you go more in depth here. We talkin P71? 9C1? what?
Yup, I can drag my door handles around curves. The Caprice corners like a dream.
And I just noticed the Crown Vics in the reader's rides at the corner of the page. Cool.
That would be a 95 9C1. Too bad Illinois salt is slowly eating it for lunch.

are you my long lost brother?
Welcome aboard. And, yes, cop cars are way cool.
Wanna know what the first thing I thought of after I bought it at the police auction in 2000? Not "this is so cool" or "I just bought a SQUAD CAR," but my first thought was, "boy, I wonder how many cops farted on this seat?"

In Mchenry, two blocks from the sewage dum...uh Fox River.
Its a love/hate relationship. Love it when it runs right, hate it when it doesn't. I've thought of the pleasure I'd get from just setting it afire some times. I've got so much cash tied up in this thing, I think I'll have to be burried in it.
And I've never ridden in the back. And I remind those who complain about the frosty vinyl back seat that the're getting a free ride home, and should stop whinning.
That's not an old Mount Prospect car by any chance?

Not knowing anything might require some negotiation (if it's even true), but a big mouth and opinionation should not be a problem if you take it as well as sling it.
Welcome aboard, matey.

Welcome. Just curious but how did you find us? Did you ever really think there was a place where Miata vs Cop Car could be a strong debate?

For someone who has seen the movie at least 20 times, you would think I'd have picked up on that.

D'oh! I totally read that wrong. I was only half paying attention to the post and half to work.
Hmmm, I wonder what I screwed up at work now?
