In spite of the kind of goofy balloon tires, I really like the J-12.

I love the way the full sized Gladiator series of vehicles look, but that one in the picture is ugly. How they should look: (Receive two internet points for finding the exhaust tips!)

I see 'em on the rocker panel just behind the door. Not good for wading though, you want downturned exhaust to make it harder to flood.

I wish a FSJ was sensible for my situation right now, they're awesome.
I really like the FC design but the pickup there kinfd of looks like one of the retro thunderbird/55chev/50 ford stuck on a corvette/mustang chassis things.
I wonder how unstable that FC would be in real use? Put a reasonable ride height on it, give it a manual shifted small diesel and I'd consider DDing something like that.
I often hate the way retro-inspired updates tend to "clean things up" and in so doing basically remove all the details of the original.
They look like vacuum-molded plastic kids' toys inspired by the originals.
The FC comes off okay, the pickup really loses something without its sharp edges.

Exactly!
There needs to be better pics, the FC Looks awesome, the Gladiator looks cool too, but it's hard to make out
Autoblog has pictures as well.
The FC's interior. I'd like a diesel too, but the chances of ever getting one in North America are Slim and None.

theres supposed to be a grand cherokee diesel option coming in 2013 or 14, but still no word on the wrangler. autoblog did a "first drive" of them in italy last year when they released the new diesels in europe. the new wrangler with 2.8 diesel is apparently even available with the 6 speed manual. according to the article, with the 3.20 axle ratio, the euro economy figures come to 28/36 city/highway (!)
just waiting on jeep to get their head out of a dark place and bring the diesels over here

I see in the Allpar article it mentions that Chrysler sells portal axles over the counter now, which is interesting.
The FC has army green paint, AND a red interior with textured plastic on the dash AND PLAID SEATS???!!!! HOLEE CRAP I NEED THIS!

I thought it was pretty exciting, up until I got to the part where they're $23,500 a set.
I thought Dodge aka Ram didn't want Jeep building pickups. Maybe now with Fiat in charge things have changed.
