Or we could watch paint dry in a counter-clockwise direction.....
I admit that I watch the NASCAR road races.
The TG clip was funny, too.
But I thought this thread was about the start of autocross season! I'm excited, are you?
I remember when I used to hate NASCAR, then I started to appreciate the constant adjustments that are made through a race. It made the sport much more interesting to me. Three years ago I would same much of the same stuff like "even a monkey can drive around in circles" and "fast and to the left" with the most redneck accent I could muster up. Now I have taken my blinders off of just loving sportscar racing and have started to enjoy other motorsports. However, I still can't get into drag racing. I am just glad that NASCAR is FINALLY moving into the 21st century(20th century really) and going to fuel injection. Only disappointment for me was NASCAR moving away from the COT because Billy Joe Bob Dumbberkeley doesn't like wings or aggressive splitters on his stockcars.
So I am looking forward to this season.
.. and I bet NASCAR racers/ fans are just as berkeleying excited about the start of autocross season on their sites...
I'm a motorsports fan so even Nascar gets a bit of my attention.
There sure are a bunch of sanctimonious sorts who think otherwise, though.

I guess I'm one of them. I used to be a huge fan. Then they started manipulating the racing for the sake of the "show". There's a lot of racing out there to choose from, and I choose to follow and watch other racing, and not the NASCAR "show". So call me what you like. I call myself an auto racing fan.
In reply to bravenrace:
The funny thing is that Nascar has ALWAYS manipulated the racing. The difference is that it is a bit more obvious now and that you're paying more attention to it.
In reply to oldsaw:
I don't agree. They may have always manipulated it to the same extent that other sanctioning bodies do, but there was a point in the late 90's to early 2000's that they definitely stepped it up. That's when I lost interest. And by the way, I ALWAYS paid attention.

That is one thing that won't ever change, the ignorance of the redneck majority that watches NASCAR. They usually do not stray from circle track, drag racing, or Bud Light.
Lost interest in NASCAR around 1990. Autocross season is coming and I'm looking forward to trying my new car out.
