My NYR's all kind of flow together:
- Lose about 30 lbs to...
- Get a job in law enforcement and...
- Buy/build a turbo Miata so I can...
- Get more track time this year.
My NYR's all kind of flow together:
My NYR is to start smoking. Everyone always makes a resolution to quit! berkeley that! I'm no quitter! I'm going to start! I've been thinking cigarettes, but maybe big ol' cigars. Hell, maybe I'll get me a pipe. This year, I'm going to do it!
And maybe I'll gain 20 or 30 pounds. I like goals that are easily attainable and perhaps inevitable anyway.
Fix my DSM, fix my SE-R, fix my Camry, continue to lose weight, and a couple others involving personal demons and the slaying of them.
My wife was impressed when I proposed I drink more and eat less.
She remembers what I looked like when I drank a six pack a day and never ate.
My normal project routine goes something like this: 1) Formulate cool idea for a new project. 2) Save approx. 1/3 - 1/2 budget projected to complete said project. 3) Begin buying parts, typically in order of coolness rather than what makes sense. 4) Run out of money and lose interest in project. 5) Swear to never again repeat steps 1 - 4 and possibly sell off pieces of project at a considerable loss. 6) After 6 months repeat entire process.
That said, my goal this year is not start any projects without the budget and dedication to finish.
1) Have my FC3S ready for autocross by spring
2) Attend as many autocrosses as possible
3) Do another track day
4) Get my own apartment
5) Get back into the dating game
6) Find a gearhead friend to help me accomplish goal #1
.... All those oughta keep me busy for a while.
