Double OT game 7 last night was awesome!! Also cool to see a local St. Louis guy score the game winner in front of the home crowd. #7 winning game 7!! Looking forward to another riveting game 7 tonight. Very glad the Bruins finished in 6 as I don't think I could take another game 7. As a lifelong Bruins fan I've seen way too many game 7's, and not all of them have been good results. NHL playoffs rule!! No other league has this type of drama I feel.

You mean see a local St Louis guy score the game winner against another local St Louis guy who played his ass off.

Oh I didn't know Bishop was a native to St. Louis. Thanks for the correction. I've never cared for Bishop going back to his days with Tampa.
I feel like the Avs got berkeleyed!!I can't believe they reversed that call on the offside challenge. It looked like the Avs players skate was still on the blue line when the puck went over the line.
In reply to Mazdax605 :
I agree, but only to see another St Louis team berkeley Stan Kroenke in the ass in the next round.
(but imho, he looked offsides to me)
But one can think of it another way- ginen Sarknado- consider what happens when you combine a hurricane with a shark. Which can very much happen for the Cup final.
Sharkicane?
Or we get the Blues long revenge on the Bruins, from almost 50 years ago....
And no matter who wins the west now, either one could win their FIRST Cup.
Go Bruins!! I'm rooting for a Bruins/Blues final matchup. Careful what you wish for though. The Blues are very good. It's weird that I don't really care for the Sharks as a whole. I was a huge Thornton fan when he was with the B's, love Pavelski, Hertl, Couture, but I just can't root for that team. I feel former Bruin goalie Martin Jones while playing good , just doesn't have the pedigree to win the cup. I could be wrong. I hate that the B's are playing a 3PM game on Mothers Day!! Hockey with your team in May, and June is awesome! I've been able to experience it a few times in my lifetime, but only once did it end with the result I was looking for. 2011 was magical!!
My worry is that Hurricanes tend to lose strength when they get that far North. NY is still in the corridor for a good strength, but Boston may be a bit too far North.
So far only a light breeze. Things will kick up in the next 2 games. A team is only in trouble when they lose at home. So far the Canes are undefeated there. Looking forward to more May hockey.
The 'Canes looked great in the first two periods of the first game. I'm hoping they can adjust, because the ice has been tilted towards their end for the last four periods of play.
Game 3 here we come. I predict a Canes push back, just like I predicted with the Blues last night.
Rask won the game for Boston, but the whole team is playing well. On the other side, Willams wasn't helping things early on.
If the 'Canes could score on a power play once in a while, it'd be nice.
If tonight’s game was any indication, Thursday’s game will be a barn burner.
Hopefully Wagner can return for that game.
Was hoping that the "Canes" could get it together, but Tuukka is one damn good goalie...........
Tuukka has been amazing this playoff season!!
What a complete embarrassment by the Canes. 5 goals in the whole series. 4 being legitimate. So many Bruins fans in Carolina too!!
Coach Rod is all class though.
It was a tough series for the 'Canes, but it may be the start of a good thing for the team, and it was a better end to the season than I thought we were going to get in December.
The Bruins have a chance to give the Sports Triple to Boston. I'm torn about how things stand now. Do I want Boston to win and have to listen to my Brother In Law talk about it forever, but have had the 'Canes go down to the eventual champions OR do I want a West Coast team to win?
I'm inclined to pull for the Bruins, as much as it pains me.
In reply to Brett_Murphy :
If it wasn't for the stupid Celtics, they could have pulled the Grand Slam and had a chance for all 4 teams to win.

Hand-pass-gate has only added to fuel my love of hockey. The Blues have shown that they should be here. Worst to the cup finals is a Hallmark movie.
LET'S GO BLUES!!!
Well done by the Blues, knocking those frauds from SJ out last night!! My Bruins are going to have their hands full with the boys from MO. I don't love that the Bruins will be off for 11 days or something like that once the Final starts on Monday. What's the connection with the crowd singing "Take Me Home,Country Roads "? Isn't that a song about WV?
Let's Go Bruins!!!

Let's go Bruins. Wow, I do not like saying that at all, but the alternative is the Blues, so.... Let's go Bruins.

Right? It tastes like licking a 9 volt battery covered in putrescine.
Yea, it's been SOO very long since Boston has been able to celebrate a championship..... (thank you, Milwaukee for ousting the Celtics)
Go Blues.
I've got no dog in the race now, but I expect it will be some good hockey.
