From what I have seen, the glack powder guns sold in Wal-marts here in CT are not rifled. There is no rifiling in the bore.

I understand that.. I've just never seen a law written that cares about rifling.. It's all black powder or not. Cabela's in E. Hartford has rifled and unrifled guns sold to anyone 18+ with a drivers license.

Well, I sit corrected, I was told that the law had to do with rifiling, but if Cabella's in "E. Hartford is selling them both ways, then I guess it's the black powder and nothing else.

It was my understanding it was the rifiling that made them accurate enough to where they became a "hazard" . This was as it was explained to me by a member of several gun clubs. Still, I think there should be some mandatory gun handling training.

I'm more of the opinion that a weapon that actually shoots where you point it is a lot less of a hazard than one that shoots wherever, as smooth bores tend to do.
