I mentioned our family trip south of the Mason Dixon line in the glorious roads post. While we were there we spent a couple of days in DC. I’ve been to DC before, but it’s always hard to see the White house, Lincoln Memorial etc. So this time after dinner we headed back down there around 11:00pm. The National mall is great at that time, 99% of the crowds are gone and you can actually see and photograph things. Here’s a couple of pics I took with a baby Canon point and shoot with a 1 sdec exposure. I’m happy with them
Helps if I attach the pics !

Thanks, I just held the camera against the railings of the White house or against a suitible lump of granite/marble for the others. If you zoom in on the white house I'm amazed at the detail I managed to get for such a long exposure.
good pics, and you didn't even get hassled by the DHS for having the audacity to take pictures of national monuments.. good job..
I love it when I see that someone came here and dug it, like it was something special.
I row on the Potomac and go by the Watergate/Lincoln/Jefferson every time. When there's not a ton of boat wakes and privileged high school girls 8's w/ their attendant loudmouth coaches in Boston Whalers trying to swamp you, it's a mighty attractive city right at dusk.
