Meah, they are a bunch of ninnies on that board. Showed them years ago how to wire it up for speed without any big changes, they got hysterical.
my sons 12v powerwheels has a "turbo" button that switches to 18V
also has mountain bike tire tread on the back, it tries to lift the front end when he hits it

More info please!
When I was little I had a power wheels trike with a pair of batteries wired up in parallel for 24v. People had to run to keep up with me

My dad wired mine up when i was a kid so that i ONLY had 18V! he then had to teach me about changing fuses and how to twist wires togethor and use a car battery charger. definitely not the safest way to wire up a powerwheels for more power, but c'mon, there were only 6 exposed wires (not counting the ones on the ancient battery charger) and a 6 year old can figure that out. Sparks/fire or pain means I didn't do it right. Doing donuts with the plastic tires was well worth the risk of electrocuting myself as a child.
24v would've been awesome, but my dad said he tried and could only fit 3 6v batteries under the hood before he needed to do any cutting. he figured it was enough. (i disagree)
