If anyone out here is from the Pinellas - Pasco - Hernando county area of Florida, let me know if you know of any Service Manager / Shop Foreman / Automotive Management positions you may know about coming up over the next 10-18 months I would appreciate it.
No current knowledge, but always liked that area. However, like most of Florida, job market not real good. After Michigan, probably a much nicer place to live. Do you have any contacts there? Quite a few GRMrs in the general area. Getting close to Gainesville, too. Fishing is good, so is hog hunting, not far from a lot of year round racing, cheapish housing. Farther north, better.
I spent 10 years in the area but left in 1990. Swore I would never go back, also swore I would finish another Challenge car ;) Not 100% on the decision, a solid prospect or twelve would change that.
Family Kia in St. Augustine was looking for a service manager. I'm sure that's not an option, as it's something like a 3 or 4 hour drive in each direction.
IMHO, St. Augustine is a nicer area to live in.
It is by far a nicer area, but IF I do this it is to also help out family in the area, so I would be locked into North Bay regardless.
This would seem like an easy call. The north bay area is lousy with dealerships. US19 from Ulmerton Road (and Ulmerton itself) north to Tarpon springs is nothing but car dealerships. And everywhere it intersectcs a big street, like Gulf to Bay, more dealerships, more dealershps.
Seems like a half a day on google maps and the phone would answer your question pretty well.

is all I know about the area is when i've spent any time around i've seen more caddies and ambulances on emergency runs than anywhere else i've ever been...
