I missed my 40th last year, but from the pictures that were posted on our classes web site, I'm not sure I would have recognized many people.

I don't even think we had a 10 year reunion. From everybody I see on a daily basis, not much has changed. I would look forward to a 20 year reunion though.
My class was so apathetic about everything that we had an 11-year renunion because no one bothered to plan or show up for the 10-year. I didn't go to either, but most of the girls I knew then either look about the same or have gotten rather thick. Not old enough to be droopy or leathery...yet.

Same. Everyone is on facebook anymore and there is a group for my high school class. No one wanted to take the reigns of planning something and setting a solid date/place. The group pretty much became a parody of the reunion, and it was joked many times that this FB Group IS the 10 year reunion. Haha.
I have not seen any posts there recently so I guess there was no 11 year reunion this year.
Hahaa, that's exactly how it went down for us too -- so much mockery of our former class leadership! You didn't go to Taylorsville HS in Taylorsville, UT, did you?
My 20-year was a few years ago now. I didn't go, nor did I go to the 10-year, but I know people who did. Apparently one of the leading contenders for "Most Likely to be Arrested" fulfilled his destiny at the 10-year; I would have liked to have seen that. My girlfriend, with whom I graduated from HS (though she assumed the GF title rather more recently; she shut the door on me back then), went to the 20-year (with strict instructions not to mention that I even existed anymore; I didn't like most of those people 20 years ago, and I don't need them bothering me now). She reported that most of the attendees looked considerably worse for wear, which of course made us feel good, as we've both managed to hold on to some degree of youthful energy and appearance. She also reported that she got hit on by one of our past classmates, who then apparently decided that something was starting, then thought better of it, and broke up with her via email a couple weeks later. We had a good laugh over that.
I didn't go to any of my reunions and I don't plan to break that streak now. I guess I want to maintain some illusions.
I went to my 20th reunion, and I have to say I don't quite agree with the thread heading. The majority of the ladies that showed up (perhaps the "nags" didn't show up?) had done quite well....the guys? And many of my classmates didn't look all that different, tho it could have been the alcohol and bad lighting.
I did notice some folks had moved into careers that I had no idea interested them. We had a few lawyers, a few doctors, and lots of teachers. One lawyer and one DENTIST really surprised me. A few guys (no gals?) have gone into politics at the local and even national levels.

My school (the one I claim, anyway..we moved my senior year of HS) is really, really small. They're on FB right now trying to plan one reunion for everyone, regardless of what year you graduated.
The portions of a females anatomy that make her hawt in high school tend to continue to grow, and be badly affected by gravity, as she ages. Your Olive Oyl type tends to just fill out a bit, plus I agree with the working harder comments.
I've observed a similar tendency in my male friends, too, just to keep everything fair.

The town that my grandpa and mom grew up in is small, the school has an alumni dinner every year. Gramps never misses it.
I remember going to my tenth and thinking, "these look just like the girls I went to high school with, only bigger".

Same here. I didn't like school, and can't think of anybody I liked enough to want to see them again. In the 30+ years since, I've seen one person I went to high school with. He was also a neighbour and friend, and he looked me up. I have gained almost 60 lbs since high school, but in my last year of school I weighed 100 lbs, so now I'm just about right
Haven't seen anyone that I went to school with after graduation, actually didn't even go to graduation. As soon as they told me I had enough credits to graduate I was gone.
Occasionally I do wonder what happened to some of the girls I had a crush on back then though.
For the life of me I can't remember what I weighed in school but I weigh a healthy 2bills now.
I haven't attended any reunions either. Just bad timing and usually on the other side of the country. 10th - I had just got transfered to a new duty station after attending an advanced school, my wife was pregnant with our 2nd daughter and different side of the country. In KY, Reunion in CA. 20th - Was out-processing from the army for retirement and on the other side of the country. In KY, Reunion in CA. 30th - Had 2 kids in college at the same time and on the other side of the country. In AL, Reunion in CA.
Have hooked up with a few old buddies on Facebook and looked some of the other up. Most are more than they were back then. The Majorette back in high school was hot and now twice the size. Of course, I'm 25 lbs heavier and bald now so can't say too much.
Maybe I'll make the 40th in 4 years.
I had my 10th year reunion in 1990 and was limited on extra funds. I remember weighing on spending $100 for my wife and I to go and make small talk all evening or to spend $100 for 4 brand new KYB shock absorbers for my 1966 Datsun 1600 Roadster.
Pfffff.....no brainer.

My issue is I can't even remember any girls I did crush on. I mean I am sure I did. I was a teenager with all the associated hormones and urges after all. I just seemed to have wiped that whole period of my life out of my memory.
If I go, would I stand around saying "And you are?, Sorry not ringing a bell" or would it hit me like a 60's sitcom amnesiac coming to?
If I can't remember these folks should I even go and insult them with blank stares of non-recognition on the off chance I will get the epiphany moment?

Nope. Potomac Falls HS in VA. Sounds like we all would get along just fine though. Maybe we can arrange for both our graduating classes to have our 15 reunion together on Facebook. lololololol
I don't believe my HS class had a 10yr reunion and I never bothered to go to the 20yr one (in 2010) considering I hated high school. I did see some photos after the fact and some people went bald, got fatter, etc.
I don't think I've changed too much (still 20yrs is 20yrs), just a bit of weight gain (I was a skinny bastard back then so...) and some facial wrinkles so far.
