This is my 666th post. That is all.
Saw them last year in concert - looking a little older but still put on a REALLY good show. First concert I ever went to was Maiden at Hammersmith Odeon, London, somewhere around 1984.
all I can think of is a Gary Larson Far Side Cartoon
where there is a maintenance guy painting 999 on a door and lucifer is standing there fuming. maint guy says "ahh dammit, I was holding the work order upside down"

You know, last year's tour didn't come anywhere near here--or even anywhere that was an easy flight away. I was bummed. By the way, A Matter of Life and Death (latest album) is pretty darn good. If you like classic Maiden, it's worth a listen--ditto Brave New World from 2000 or so.
I think I played 'Two Minutes to Midnight' a couple times on the way into work today. And 'Wasted Years', and 'Fear of the Dark' Live in Brazil...man...that's amazing...the crowd...holy jeez...AWESOME.
Number of the Beast is an EXCELLENT album! You can listen to it from end to end, over and over and over. You might get tired of it, eventually, but it'll wait on the shelf until you come back and listen to it over and over and over again!

They just annonced the first USA date for 2009, and its in florida, wrong coast from me. I'm sure they'll tour the rest of the US. I went to 2 of their concerts last year, one at the L.A. Forum and Irvine meadows. AWSOME SHOW. definitively a must see show.

Isn't the other coast 2 hours away? I go further than that just to get to the track.
This IS Maiden that we're talking about.
Not seeing you post count deters post whoring. I've been "beaten" by 10 year olds who know everything because they have 5,000 posts.
