I think you mean Barney and Goober. I believe that Gomer (Jim Nabors) is still kickin.
Yup Goober is gone but Gomer is still around.
Gomer isn't doing so well the last I heard. He wasn't well enough to sing "Back Home Again in Indiana" at this year's Indy 500. He has to be pretty sick to miss that gig.
Hopefully he's doing alright.
