Hard to believe Lance was dying when he recorded that.

definitely a better Bad Romance cover than the original.
Caro Emerald does a wonderful jazz version of that song. Here's her singing it live (with her band) in a studio

Not sure if this was posted earlier, I stumbled upon it the other night.
Linkin Park - Rolling in the Deep
Even though it's overplayed, it really is a very good song.
Revco - Do you think I'm sexy, although that bar is set kind of low. Probably best not to watch at work to be on the safe side.
Total Eclipse of the heart - I laugh every time I watch it. Hurra Torpedo - Turn around
All the things she said.. Hurra Torpedo - All the things
Type O Negative, Summer Breeze RIP Pete

1000 Homo DJs cover Supernaut is pretty good as well.
The new Godsmack album has a buncha covers. I haven't listened to every track yet, but this one is decent, imo.
Got My Mojo Workin'
The Asylum Street Spankers > Muddy Waters (or at least taking it in an awesomely completely different direction).

Dugh out Leatherface's cover on youtube...and I cannot agree.
I personally feel Machinehead did an amazing cover of Message in a Bottle however:

Very much agree. Especially with LA Times.
Though the "original" (which was actually a re-recording) was one of the greatest rock songs of all time...
Eric Clapton > Eric Clapton
("Layla" unplugged1992 > "Layla" 1972)
I always liked this version of "O Fortuna" or Carmina Burana or whatever it is.

As blasphemous as it is to say a remake of any Hank Williams song is better, this one is AMAZING. None other than Seasick Steve.
Bumping this up for two songs I heard on the radio this morning. The first I had no idea was a remake until I realized I knew every line, it was a cross I'd never expected to hear:
Jamey Johnson doing Meat Loaf 2 out of 3 ain't bad:

The second is another Jamey Johnson (this time with Kris Kristofferson), and it wasn't a huge jump of genre--just him covering one of my favorite Johnny Cash songs, Sunday Morning Coming Down, but I can't find a video of it. So if anyone has one, post it up!
EDIT: Here is one, but of mediocre quality. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GJSm3IyVPd4

Respectfully disagree wholeheartedly. The whole unplugged album sucked, in my opinion. What gives Clapton's songs life is the electric guitar work. Glad that Springsteen didn't go for the "unplugged" bs. Just felt like Eagles-esque soft rock. Which I don't care for.
