Yep, you guessed it car Vs. deer
berkeleying deer came up between two bridges and made a HARD right turn, I caught a quick glimps of the berkeleyer coming up between the bridges and hit the brakes but no way could I avoid him BAMM. The deer then hit car number two (busted head lamp, then two big chunks hit another car and I am not sure on what happen to car number four. What a mess.
My very reliable 345K miles DD Dodge Omni will be coming off the road very soon as the tags run out this month and due to the damage should not be driven at night.

Had to use the jack to push the core support away from the water pump belt (A/C belt was destroyed on impact)

Deer guts every where, all the way to the fuel door

Fun trip home, 60+ miles at night.

All told four cars were damaged or at least had deer guts splatter over them (yuck). You know a what car thread is coming (I do love car shopping
)
berkeleying deer.

That sucks man, at least you're ok. I HATE cleaning deer out of cars.
Glad yur OK, coulda been a lot worse, like into/ through the windshield. berkeley deer.
btw, Bambi ran into my new Sierra w/ 1100 miles. Sucks.
Bouncing between Baltimore M.D and Elizabethtown PA which increases to suck factor of this event.

Eh, as long as it didn't push the strut tower back or crumple the crumple zone too much, hammers, sheet metal screws, hood, fender, lights, grill, trim, good as new.
ugh.. eastern PA is deer central. Sorry
Uhh, at least get some good meat from the thing? You know....lemonade from lemons and all that.
straighten it out enough to make it driveable and drive it- maybe make a grille guard out of some angle iron since "pretty" isn't one of the attributes that apply to this car any more... should only be cosmetic as long as the steering wheel is still centered..
How rusty is the car underneath?
BTDT. Condolences. Glad you're okay.
I am going to take a better look at the car today and go from there.
Moparman: The only reason I bought this car was the lack of rust in the floors, city car driven by old lady who never went out in the snow.
Novaderrick: The steering wheel feels off center (to the right) so the strut tower might be pushed back a bit, I will have the alignment checked before any major work is done.

I have never hit a deer, soo glad. In fact, the biggest thing I've hit was a racoon. What parts do you need to get the car up and running? I think I have an A/C compressor...
If I do, you can have it.
Nice kill. Sorry about the car.
Outch. Should make a good beater racer. Send her to Columbia, MO. We will make sure she has a good home.
Glad you're OK.
Damn, makes me glad I don't have to worry about deer. Closest thing is the occasional nutcase out for a stroll on the highway at night, and at least they don't move too quickly.
I see a lot of deer when driving back from Orlando at night. They're just standing on the shoulder of I-4--you know, just hanging out. What I don't get is that Florida has a lot of open space. Why do they have to hang out near the cars? Why not a few hundred yards away from the cars?
Dont forget Venison chilli - mmmmmmm

They want to cross the highways to get to new grazing areas and deer mating opportunities.

I've done stupider things to get to human mating opportunities.
