Michael Schumacher was a left foot braker.   A carry over from his upbringing at his father's go-kart track.

I think Rubens Barrichello was the last of the right foot brakers.

Since they grow up karting and had paddle shifters for a couple generations, pretty sure all F1 drivers now are left footers.

This is one of those threads that didn't go like I thought it would.  I would have guessed up front that it would run at least 95% right foot braking only.

That said, I totally get the go-kart thing, and while applying both pedals simultaneously might get you black-flagged and a lecture at the go-kart track, there is no denying the benefit to keeping the revs in a useful range.

Huh. I would do it the weird way. I would never "get the pedals mixed up." Unless it was that time I drove manuals for 10 years and then got in an automatic with a track instructor. Even with a seatbelt I nearly launched him out of the car when I needed to slow down and stomped the "clutch" to the floor with my left foot. Old habits die hard.

Not sure if we're talking race or street, but in PA you are required to use your right foot.  It's in the driver's manual, and if your left foot touches the brake during a driving test, you fail.
