Yeah, he'll never get that price, even if the trans is fixed but what a nice looking truck. Though, I'm not sure about the aluminum bumpers, not if they are going to take rock bashing. If I owned it, they would
I've got a '91 FJ80...was contemplating the 4BTA swap...but the damn 3FE that's in it won't die.
Didn't even consider a 5.9...
Yeah, I see a good deal of the cummins Land cruisers for sale.
I think people pay all this money to make them then realize the NVH is killing them to drive everyday.
I want one, but not when you can buy full toyota bolt in diesel engines for like $6k from overseas.
I don't get it... 16yr old land cruiser with an 100k mi cummins engine swap & blown trans? $27k? Its sexy alright, but he is out of his ever-lovin' mind.
I just bought a 5yr old 70k mi, fully-over-the-top-loaded, 5yr old Duramax 2500HD for $20k and it moves under its own power well enough to tow that one up pikes peak with its brakes locked at 100mph. I'd go $14k for that, $16k if he fixes it.

I was thinking about that a while ago, it sounds like a cool idea to swap a cummins into something, but one day i was sitting at a stoplight next to one and i realized it was irritating even for 30 seconds and i wasnt even driving it. lol I think those engines are best left to towing heavy things and not for daily driven or fun vehicles.
