That would be the pinnacle!
But I got my name in Vanity Fair.

Ten Top Auto Journos....very impressive!
Coworker behond me: "Dude, are you looking at Vanity Fair?!?!"
Me: "Its OK, I'm looking for a Canadian."
It was a compliment. Both to you and and your nation by expressing how invoking the Canadian rule immediately removes any sissy stigma.
Nice! I actually skimmed the article yesterday, but didn't notice the name. And in my defense, I was not reading Vanity Fair, it was emailed to me. The author of that column went on and covered the BABE rally the year I went, so I'm on his mailing list.
All so practical. My mom's first car was an MGB. She likes sports cars, why would I force a big SUV or a goofy econobox convertible on her?
So I'd get her a 2013 Miata Club edition with the power hardtop to go along with her Subaru Legacy wagon. She kind of has this covered already, there's a 1990 Miata parked in the garage
If I could buy my mom any cars it would be a '66 Mustang to replace the one she had to sell when we moved out of the country, and a Chevy pickup to replace the rough riding (but pristine looking) '89 that she has now. Not that I'm sure she would want to replace the '89.

You got the word "crapcan" into Vanity Fair magazine.
If I were to pick a car for my mom, it would be a '68 MGB black with red leather. She was supposed to inherit her dad's, but her mom sold it instead before she had her license. To this day she holds a grudge and I can't berkeleying blame her.
To this day my mom still talks about the beige Beetle she had when we were kids. Since I do love her, no way would I buy her a VW.
Congrats Lesley!! Very cool article and I just forwarded it to my wife. Thank goodness she likes cool cars (we just bought her a used Volvo V70R, which she is digging!).
