I have in my possession a pair of these:

Information on the web (beyond images) is proving difficult to find, but I think they are from the late 70s or early 80s. I would suspect that someone out there who is doing a period-correct restoration of a Japanese car would want them.
Thing is, I can't find a way to put a value on them, nor would I know where to advertise. Right now, they are doing shop duty, but somewhere inside me, I really feel they should be in the right place.
Any thoughts greatly appreciated.

Whoa, Pioneer TS-X9!
They made them through 1986 or so.
I used to hut them and install Kicker components in them whenever I found a set in the yard and use them for EXACTLY what you are using them for right now.
They are in the right place, now go buy that Datsun in Oregon and restomod it.
My thought is that i kindof want them, and if they had come up just one month earlier i would have made a serious offer since i was looking to do a late-80s stereo build in my MX6.
But at the moment, my question is: How do they sound?

They sound pretty dang good, all things considered. By "all things", I mean that the largest driver is maybe 4.5", so you couldn't expect a lot of low end. The mids and highs are pretty darned good, though!
