I was thinking it was a cheap way to get a purpose built race car. Different bodies can be purchased and make it awesome.

I know that first car. Belongs to Dave Valliere. He hillclimbs and road courses it.

Wicked nice guy so I'm sure if you contacted him off-site he'd share whatever info you wanted. He and his brother own a shop. Doug (the brother) has an old pro-4 modified chassis with a Sunbeam Tiger body powered by a worked over Ford 302.

Is there still a vintage racing association for disused Cup cars?

I don't live near too many big ovals, but that always sounded like a pretty neat idea. eBay is also chock full of used parts, although the SB2 stuff seems to be snapped up by drag racers before it has a chance to get cheap.

I doubt he's done, it's just that car doesn't make a great hillclimber.

Every speedway classified section has older sportsmen for 10 k, usually ready to race.

Just wish I had the $$$ sitting around. Looks like a pretty turn key race car to take to the tracks around here.

Update on the Busch North car, it no longer belongs to Dave Valliere. He traded it for a Spec Pinata late last year.

That may give you an idea as to what this guy wants out of the sale.
