Has anybody here used any of the online gun auctions to sell? If I am reading this correctly, a seller who does not have an FFL can sell stuff, as long as it is shipped to someone with an FFL.

Beyond that, is there a preferred auction site?
Gunbroker is the big dog in that area and legitimate.
You're correct the gun would need to be shipped to an FFL for transfer and a NICS check would still apply. The buyer will want to contact their FFL prior to shipment to ensure they'll be willing to receive it.
The shipping part isn't anything unusual as sport hunters will often mail their rifles ahead of them to avoid the hassle when traveling. As such there are statutes in place to deal with it.
I've never sold on Gunbroker but I have purchased so I can't speak to the selling process.
Buds isn;t an auction but also has decent prices. I'm lucky that we have 2-3 shops locally that are usually the same price with shipping/transfer fees as most online purchases and being local I'd rather support them.
Keep in mind when buying online, you will need to factor in the FFL fees on both ends plus shipping so you may not be getting as good of a deal as you thought.
I think the important question here is what is getting sold.
I have no knowledge to share, but am following with interest as I might be considering downsizing the arsenal one of these days...

The biggest thing is that many FFL's will not accept shipments from individuals. Also keep in mind that in some places a buyer may be in could have the items restricted.
In reply to WOW Really Paul?:
Yea that can be a pretty major hangup. I believe the onus is on the buyer though to do that research as well as the legality aspects according to GunBroker. I'm not 100% sure though as I've never sold on there, just bought and had weapons shipped to states like Florida and Pennsylvania where they ask how how many you want like you're buying doughnuts.

The shop I get online purchases shipped into usually asks me for donuts instead of the $20 they normally charge for transfer.
