Outdoor PoE wireless access point

Any recommendations for an outdoor-safe PoE wireless access point, 802.11/n, 2.4ghz, 300 mbps? Omnidirectional preferred - I don't need to beam across the river, but I'd like to reach the paddock so people can check live timing results.

Honestly, I've had good luck with the TP-Link gear. Something like this should meet the needs without breaking the bank.

Thanks. That's exactly the unit I was looking at, BUT, I got hung up on the fact that it is directional. I don't know if that's an issue or not. I was really looking for something where I could run an ethernet cable from the timing tent toward the paddock / grid, and put something omnidirectional out there so everyone could pick up live timing info. I am afraid that unit will blast the signal in a narrow beam and not give good coverage.

I freely admit this stuff is not my strong suit, though, so if anybody has input, I'd appreciate it.

Yeah you don't want a directional antenna for that...but for what you need, you don't need anything special apart from the outdoor-safe part - so an old router you have lying around and a tupperware container could be an option.

Yeah, the TRENDnet you first linked is the one I'm looking at most closely. I'll probably just get a cheap HF plastic enclosure / tool box to stick it in. It doesn't need to be a $35 weatherproof box; just something to keep sun and rain off during events. Thanks for the advice!
