In reply to P71: Was it the #3 plug? Mustangs tend to spit the #3, or so I was told after. See if you can get the Timesert kit and do it yourself. If not, you're looking at a several hundred dollar repair. You can helicoil it, but I've heard that the helicoil can cause detonation problems.

Timesert kit is $385

The Miata's clutch is on it's last legs to boot. Le sigh.
