Hello everyone, Need some help today. My aunt and uncle just bought a rv this summer and are now living in and traveling the country this winter from new york to north carline, to wiscosin, oaklahoma to colorado to cali to work for the people in january. Then where working in new york at a big resort this summer and the owners are asking them to come to cali in jan to work out for a few months. They want to visit us in wisconsin for thannksginin, then see his dauther in oaklahoma, then visit his son in colorsda. They are afarid of having the pipes and plubing freeze in the cold weather and dealing with the salt. Any advise and you tube videos to help them out this week to see if they can visit the snow states? Need to help them out in the next 24 hours to give them time to make it from north carolina to wisconsin for a few days. Needless to say they are going to have the same issues in OK and CD? Thank you all for any help I can pass onto them from the grm family.

It's probably easiest for them to blow the lines clear with compressed air and empty the fresh and grey/black tanks, before they enter areas that'll be below freezing. If they expect to use the RV in areas where it'll be freezing, then they will need heaters installed. There's lots of information online, like; http://www.rv.net/forum/

Blowing out the lines is not hard.

Using the systems in freezing weather is harder.

Driving the beast in bad weather is terrible. Voice of experience.

Not typically.

Can be added after market.
